Hello to anyone who may be reading this blog.  I blog frequently at many sites; mainly to do with online marketing (my pretended expertise).  If you have a similar online MO like me, you also read a lot of blogs and maybe even subscribe via RSS to your favorites.  So welcome all you long time listeners, first time callers.

I left Wilkes and ventured around the country and world for a while.  Made new friendships, found new likable spots and even managed to squeeze out a divorce all within the past ten years.  Of course i’m not including all the significant scenarios that allowed me to arrive at this juncture.  Those unique and entertaining stories are best left for personal encounters that inquire a polite wtf.  You can read about my incarcerations and vividly wild life style on various blogs…but that will be up to you to find.

Last couple of weeks i’ve been meeting with the Wilkes community.  I’ve been trying to re-engage myself in a school that gave me four unforgettable years.  I was a resident of Pickering.  I bought the books i never opened in the church book store.  I watched the construction of the COB (now Breiseth Hall) and the creation of the quadrangle (which i’m sure goes by another name or geometric shape).  Now i see the new or renovated campus commons and more importantly the new Majors and Programs being offered to Wilkes students.  This is what impresses me more than brick and mortar.  Its the evolution of education and fulfilling the needs of the present as we all look to the future.  I’m proud to know the people involved in the new PPD program…wish we had it back in ‘95!

Part of my professional day is spent researching and utilizing social networking tools for our current and prospective clients.  I was only more than eager when asked to look at theWilkes site and see what future applications might be best suited for an Alumni awakening.  So here i am, blogging.  And here i go fishing (the act of throwing something out there to see what you might catch).  Post a response, give a hello.  It doesn’t really have to matter, but i hope that if you’re a part of the Wilkes family, you would want it to matter.  Go Colonels!
