I get a bunch of emails relating to industry stuff. I’ve gotten one about half a dozen times so far, same title, same message. Basically it’s from this one company that suggests not using Adwords, but instead using one of their recommended methods or programs. Clever in a way, to bring in people who are shaky about spending the money on Adwords, giving them a “better” alternative, meanwhile giving themselves more clients and more money.
I read through the email, laughing all the way, but seeing their draw. People are timid with the economy. Money is tight all around, that can’t be argued with. However, this is business. It’s a jungle out there. There are plenty of company’s that are succeeding to today’s economic climate, so it’s possible for just about anyone. You just gotta have the nuts to go through with it.
Don’t be fooled by this marketing scheme; ditching Adwords isn’t the answer. Adwords is still a great source of traffic. Anyone who says otherwise is trying to sell you something. I’m not gonna say that Adwords is the end all be all. Then I’D be trying to sell you something.
Don’t be afraid of the jungle. Sure there are perils; killer gorillas, jungle cats, disease-ridden insects, cannibalistic tribes. But heck, buried in the jungle is that lost city full of riches and treasures. No one remembers the guy who just sat back and THOUGHT about finding their treasure. History remembers those who took the chance and braved the climate, faced the dangers, and succeeded.
Take some chances. We only live once. If you make it, that’s great. If you don’t, there’s always another jungle to try. If at first you don’t succeed………..
